To improve its services to young people, especially victims, Croydon commissioned Crime Concern and Analytica to develop a business case for a YJC, which would support victims and divert those at risk from offending. Following consultations with stakeholders and examination of wider national and international experience, several options were proposed. These were critically examined in a multi-agency workshop and enabled an informed choice to be made about the best way forward.

2008

Central Government wanted local areas to develop work programmes that reduced the risk of marginalised young people becoming involved in violent extremism. Local partners were concerned that this approach would stigmatise the targeted young people and drive them towards extremism. Analytica was tasked to design a project that addressed local concerns but also met Government objectives. The proposal was approved by all key partners and funding secured for implementation.

2010 - 2013

The Global Programme is UN Women's flagship initiative to develop and promote effective practice in creating safe public spaces. Projects in Ecuador, Egypt, India, Papua New Guinea and Rwanda are developing right-based aproaches to tackle sexual harassment and sexual violence. Analytica is providing strategic and practical advice on the evaluation of this extremely important programme.

To inform future service development, victim and witness support services across England & Wales were identified and assessed. Demand for services was estimated and quality indicators developed. [with MVA Consultancy].

2007

Safety Councils have been set up to reduce the risk of ethnic conflict between Serb, Albanian and Roma communities in three municipalities on the 'administrative line' with Kosovo. Analytica was commissioned to review their effectiveness and make recommendations to sustain this initiative during the coming year, during which the future status of Kosovo will be decided.

2005

This assignment involved reviewing several community policing projects in Serbia, Kosovo and FYR Macedonia on behalf of the UK Department for International Development. The projects were initiated through the joint DFID-MoD-FCO Global Conflict Prevention Pool (GCPP) and seen as a vital component in the justice reform programme to reduce ethnic violence.

Our task was to review both pilot local projects and a strategic development programme to improve local courts. Through documentary research, key informant interviews and site visits, we were able to establish what progress had been made and the level of political commitment to ongoing reform.
